Jumeirah is the most famous beach area in Dubai and the preferred choice of home for many foreign ex-pats living in the city. It is bordered by Bur Dubai to the north and Palm Jumeirah to the south.

What to see in Jumeirah

In Jumeirah, there are two essential landmarks that simply cannot be missed: Burj Al Arab, considered to be the best hotel in the world and the icon of the city, and Palm Jumeirah, the most famous man-made island on the planet. The best way to get an ariel view of the island is to take a helicopter ride.

In Jumeirah, you can also find some of the best beaches in Dubai, including Jumeirah Beach Park, Umm Suqeim Beach, and Open Beach. If you have a large budget, we recommend going to the beach club at Jumeirah Beach Hotel, where you can almost touch the Burj Al Arab.

There are also various shopping centers in the area, but only one is an essential visit, the spectacular Souk Madinat Jumeirah.

A good option for accommodation

If you want to combine sightseeing with the beach then Jumeirah is the perfect option. Many of the hotels have their own private beaches hidden from the prying eyes of the public.
