Al Ahmadiya School

The Al Ahmadiya is one of the traditional schools of Dubai and has been fully restored to give visitors an idea of how it was in the middle of the 20th century.

Al-Ahmadiya was inaugurated in 1912, and quickly became one of the finest centres of education in the country. In 1956, it revolutionised education in Dubai, with classes such as English, sociology, and sciences.

The school is made up of various classrooms around an interior courtyard. In each class you'll find information, photographs, multimedia material, and recreations from the time.

Not So Interesting

Unless you're especially interested in the history of education in Dubai, the architecture of the school itself is not as interesting as some other places, such as Sheikh Saeed Al Maktoum's house, or Heritage House.

The points in favour, however, include its location, right next to Heritage House, and that entry is free.
